  • To remove moles, first use a toothpick or emery board to scratch or rub the entire blemish. Try to do this without scratching the surrounding skin. Scratch hard enough to enable DermaTend to penetrate the blemish, but not too hard such that it begins to bleed. Scratching is not painful and doesn’t require numbing cream or anesthesia. While this procedure could work without scratching, it is likely to take a couple of weeks to several months to work. And if you do this correctly, you are unlikely to leave a scar.
  • Cleanse the area using a wash cloth with hot water and some soap to enable the skin pores to open up.

 

  • Next, use a towel to dry the area. Make sure it is completely dry as any remaining water could hinder the full penetration of DermaTend.

 

  • Before opening the DermaTend tube, gently massage it. If it feels too tight, you will need to unscrew the cap and remove the silver protective seal. Next, push some air out, recap the tube and continue to massage it.

 

  • With the tip of your finger, apply some DermaTend to the entire surface of the blemish. You should only use enough DermaTend to cover the blemish, while avoiding its getting on the surrounding skin. As an extra precaution, simply apply some DermaTend Healing Balm to the surrounding skin.

 

  • Allow the DermaTend to remain on the blemish for about 20-30 minutes. You will experience a mild stinging sensation which lasts about five to ten minutes. In fact, if you don’t experience any stinging sensation, chances are the DermaTend has failed to properly penetrate the skin. This means that ultimately, the application will prove to be much less effective. In such a situation, it is recommended that you re-scratch the blemish and reapply the DermaTend. If you notice some redness and swelling around the blemish, this is no cause for alarm as this is a common occurrence.

 

  • Wash off the DermaTend gently. Be patient as it will take a while for the scab to form. However, if the scab doesn’t form within 24 hours, you should repeat the above steps until a scab finally does form. Note that the time it takes for a scab to form will vary greatly. While some blemishes may form scabs overnight, others may take a couple of weeks.
